Track time spent on your Google Tasks
Knowing how long each task takes helps you bill fairly, estimate better and spot what overruns. Google Tasks can’t do it. Here is how to add time tracking to the tasks you already have.
Two ways to count time
- The timer: start it on a task, it keeps running when you switch views; stop it and the time is saved.
- Manual entry: type the hours spent on a task, for example at the end of the day.
Every entry keeps the date, the person and its source (timer or manual). Compare them with the task’s estimate to see what overruns.
Ready-to-use timesheets
The Time tab in TeamWing gathers hours over the period you pick (week, month, custom dates):
- Group by client, category or person.
- Set your hourly rates: TeamWing works out the amounts.
- Filter unbilled time to see what is left to invoice.
- Export to CSV for your spreadsheet or accountant, or open a printable invoice draft.
- Mark as billed so hours are never counted twice.
For teams
- The Workload view shows everyone’s planned work, week by week.
- On the Business plan, per-project budgets track hours used and the forecast at completion, and hours can be sent to Odoo or Pennylane.
- Tasks stay synced with Google Tasks: see sharing Google Tasks with your team and the Kanban board.
